The fruit is highly acidic and needs to be blended with other products to enhance its taste. Let’s not forget that we eat Sea Buckthorn for its benefits, not for its taste! This little fruit can be used in a variety of products: culinary, alcoholic, cosmetic and medicinal, with over 200 products listed worldwide. Originally a medicinal plant, Sea Buckthorn has been used by Tibetan monks for centuries!
Natural
We grow Sea Buckthorn using natural methods: without herbicides, insecticides or fungicides, because we’re ORGANIC. The fast-growing varieties of sea buckthorn grown at Argouseraie Quénébro have superb silvery foliage supported by thorny branches. This makes them an impenetrable bush. The bright orange berries are harvested in September/October, depending on the year.
Sea Buckthorn plays an important role in the health of homeowners.
In 2007, the CHUS de Sherbrooke informed Robert that he had pulmonary fibrosis and that his days were numbered. He was prematurely retired, and to keep himself busy, he researched “what plants would help me carry on with my life? The discovery was: sea buckthorn!
